TAKING THE FIRST STEP

It can be very difficult to open up about personal problems, and seek professional help. Counseling is very beneficiary in challenging times, and sometimes just a couple of conversations with a psychologist can help you reach clarification. I'm here to help you discover a new perspective on your situation, no matter how overwhelming or how trivial the problem might seem to be. My goal is to create a safe space for you, to dive deep into your perspective, and to guide your exploration of new ways of thinking and behaving.

ABOUT ME

My name is Anna Rybacka, I have a master degree in psychology from SWPS University in Poland, and I'm a member of Danish Psychological Association. I'm fluent in english and I have worked with many expats, international students and refugees here in Danmark. I'm familiar with the challenges of living in a foreign country, being far from family and friends, and facing cultural differences. I have experience in professional help with following subjects:

Method and therapeutic approach

The method I work with primarily is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, which is proven to be the most effective form of therapy for different types of anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, substance abuse, OCD and many other mental challenges. Apart from that I use elements of Mindfullness, ACT, and Narrative Therapy, depending on the client. I carefully select the therapeutic tools based on your individual needs, and the problem you wish to focus on. I have a great respect to all of my clients, cause I believe that you are the expert on yourself and your life. What I can contribute with, is my insight, my expertise on psychological mechanisms and my experience as a therapist. I feel a lot of empathy in the therapy room, because I know how difficult it might be to talk bout your feelings, and open up before a stranger. The therapeutic process is challenging at times, just as any other form of facing your limitations and fears, but I'm here to guide you and help you to get on the right path towards a better life quality.
